This is the site for Seb’s latest short film, Father, which was named Best Animation at the 2008 Enhance TV ATOM Awards. This beautiful hand-drawn film has a running time of 8.5 minutes – and tells an acutely personal story about the filmmaker’s dad.

Father made its world premiere in June 2008 at Animafest in Zagreb, Croatia – the second oldest animation festival in Europe. It has also screened at the amazing Telluride Film Festival (USA),  Anima Mundi (Brazil) – South America’s biggest animation festival – the Melbourne International Film Festival (Australia), Odense Film Festival (Denmark), LA International Short Film Festival (USA), Montreal World Film Festival (Canada), Brisbane International Animation Festival (Australia), International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film (Germany), Siena International Short Film Festival (Italy),  Flickerfest (Australia), Göteborg International Film Festival (Sweden) and ANIMAC (Spain).

It also won Best Fiction at Migr@tions (Canada), an international multimedia competition run by Radio Canada International on the theme of immigration.

Father made its television debut in Australia on SBS at 8.20pm, Friday, February 6. SBS are planning further screenings, to be announced.

Father has also been selected to screen at Planete Doc Film Festival (Poland), BUFF Film Festival (Sweden), Anifest (Czech Republic), Kalamazoo Animation Festival International (USA), Nashville Film Festival (USA) and Indie Spirit Film Festival (USA).
